Torque is great, but you can get around it with proper gearing.

Well, running with a lower gear does increase wheel torque, which is what pushes a car around.

Thanks for all the input here. One more question do FEEL THAT AFTERMARKET PARTS AND UPGRADES TAKE THE VALUE AWAY FROM THE CARS INTEGRETY? Meaning when you shop for a car do look for stock or aftermarket or which do you prefer?

Later

Most "stock" f-bodies you'll find now have been demodded. I'd rather get one with the mods already on it.

yea, mine was De-modded. i found that out after pulling off the air lid and found the free mod. I'd save the money and find one modded, because unmodded is usually de-modded, and the ones that are really unmolested, are hard to come by and more expensive.

Not all of them.

My next ride, just a Magnaflow on it. :

Thus the use of the terms "most" and "usually." These indicate that it isn't ALWAYS the case.

http://converter.com/index.htm

Go to that website and look for the vigilante torque converter. It costs about $900 but a stock LS1 will go 12's with just the converter!

Actually, my quote was in reference to Ghost's statement that unmolested examples were expensive, and I posted an example of an exception. Guess you missed the gist of my post. But hey, thanks for the lexicon lesson.
