k all i am going to upgrade the hydraulics in my 98 z28 when i install my z06 clutch. now what i am wanting to know is there any difference in the ls1speed upgraded hydraulics kit listed at 279.99 and the parts from gmpartsdirect p# 15046288(slave) and p# 12570277 (master). It seems to me they include the same things and i could save like75 bux (approx) on the gmpartsdirect deal buying them separatly. Thanks for dealing with the newb.
15046288 is the part number for the '98-'00 slave.
12565145 is for the '01-'02 slave.
Recently GM has discontinued #12565145 and is now offering #15046288 as the only slave for the '98-'02s (read: all). I don't know if GM "upgraded" the old slave or not or if they just wanted to switch back to the '98-'00 slave...I have no idea
.
If I where you, I'd make sure that #15046288 has been "upgraded" or I'd buy #12565145. Some places might still have #12565145 but you won't find it at any GM dealership or GM parts retailer...15046288 is the only slave that they have listed now.
Just FYI
