Thumbs up GMMG installed!

Could not be happier....... Very throaty, not to loud, Loud when I want it and very, very little interior drone. Nothing like the Flowmaster 80 series muffler that was on my SS before. I polished it her up and this made it look very SHARP. BTW, my 2001 SS is stock w/cats......

I'm excited for you that you are so happy with the GMMG! What kind of tips do you have as I was not too impressed with the ones on their site? I'm still interested in this system but won't do anything now until Spring. You wouldn't have a sound clip, would you?

you wouldn't happen to have the CFM flow rating on that exhaust would you? so far i hear nothing but good about the gmmg, but im more concerned with performance than anything, i hear cutouts are the best way to go, but im doing some research, on all the catbacks see which ones flow the most for the $$$. Could someone supply me with the link to the GMMG. thanks

ray66-you came around bro! for a while you were gonna get the corsa. GMMG flows almost as well as a cutout, i have seen a dyno and teh cutout open gave 2rwhp more open with the GMMG than closed with it. so it flows more than enough, can support somewhere in the area of 500hp (possibly rwhp, i forget what they told me). as for the optional tips, they are GORGEOUS. if you get a set make sure to appreciate them befor eyou put them on. since when you put them on you dont see enough of them to appreciate them. the pic on their site www.gmmginc.net DOES NOT do them justice. before i was skeptical on the value of a $150 pair of tips, but when i saw them IN PERSON i didnt question the value anymore, they are simply gorgeous. glad to hear you like it ray66, i told ya you would

Smile $700.00 includes the better tips......

Brian. I puchased the GMMG w/the better tips for $700.00. I got a good deal and I was NOT part of any GP. I sent GMMG an e-mail regarding the rude customer service I received by phone and Laurie, who I assume is Matt's wife cut me a special deal. As I discovered later, Laurie is a real nice lady. Matt however in my opinion can be downright rude and offensive and he was to me on one of the phone calls I made to GMMG some time back. Repetitive calls to GMMG got me some redneck.... so you get my drift. Laurie did the right thing with me and I will refer my friends to buy the GMMG but I will ALSO warn them if and when they should ever call to speak with Laurie and NOBODY ELSE.

My 2 cents and a very happy GMMG customer!

Remember, Polish her up BEFORE you install her and Use a dremel to cut off the bolts that secure the tips-gives a real clean look!

ive had nothing but great customer service from Matt and Laurie, although laurie is the one to deal with. usually if you get someone rude on the other end at GMMG its a mechanic (be careful about throwing redneck around) and they are too busy and not prepared to really effectively deal with customers. BTW, laurie is NOT matts wife.

GMMG makes a first rate product. My personal experience with Matt Murphy. He is obviously very busy, most of the time, due to the fact that he runs a small business with a limited administative staff. His people are just as busy. He is a gentleman and willing to listen, and it's clear that he expects whoever he deals with to be civil in return. I found him extreemly helpful and I would recommend GMMG to everyone. Anyone can have bad day but I'd bet that most of time he's a more reasonable businessman than most. I know that in terms of performance, sound, fit, finish and materials he makes a higher quality product than most as well.

Question Is SDA a Schill?

SDA sir, might you be Matt Murphy? Your post makes you sound like a Schill for GMMG. Tell me I'm wrong and may this message board remain Schill-free.

Yes SDA and you are correct sir as everyone has a bad day but I phoned GMMG a few times, maybe six times within a two month span and every one of those five calls were let's just call it "bad customer service". The fact that Matt Murphy has a limited staff is HIS problem, NOT my problem. Murphy needs to hire more bodies in his shop/ office.

I don't want to dwell on GMMG's customer service anymore and the bottom line is..... I am happy with the GMMG cat-back.
