You're not supposed to beat on your car till it's warmed up, once mine is warm I have no slap. I use Nitrous to clean the plugs and piston heads Ever notice that after you make some runs on the juice and pull your plugs that they are nice and clean.

Sounds like a dull metallic 'clatter'. Usually only on startup and til the engine gets up to temperature.

Are there years that this is limited to ie the 01-02, vs the 98-00 (when they started building the LS1 w/ the different intake)?
