Engine Trouble

For some reason there is a clicking noise coming out of my engine. It is not a loud knocking noise but i can hear it through all gears and even over relatively loud music. I just got the car back from the shop today and was told that the clicking noise "is a personality trait" of camaros. For some reason i dont beleive this and the clicking noise is still just as loud as ever. I have never heard a camaro do this and to be told that was a little astonishing. So i have come to the conclusion that i paid 160.00$ for nothin...
Just curious if anyone knows anything about this "personality trait" or may know what the problem is please inform me. A friend of mine beleive its an exhaust leak from the header or y-pipe. But thanks for any input

Re: Engine Trouble

If you have headers, it may be a loose header bolt. I've had to retighten mine 3 times already and it was making a clicking or almost a knocking sound. Somebody posted this problem about 2 months ago and attached a video of it. It was the same problem. I think the thread might have been need help, weird LS1 sound or something like that if you want to do a search and listen to the video.

Re: Engine Trouble

Piston slap? It's more common on the later models from what I hear.
