new oil pump was about to go in but the mechanic found more trouble. Im not there to see it but he said theres metal shavings and cam isnt sitting properly. He said something to the sort of the cam was trying to back out on him and metal to metal contact I need to go see to find out what exactly is wrong. This motor might be shot. It was a stock 98 motor with the common oil pump crapping out. 58K miles on motor what gives He hasnt fully checked it out but he thinks its severe. What are my options? funds are limited Please point me in the right direction
