Engine Dyno Simulation Software

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I searched around and they were a few other posts about similar topics.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with DynoSim (www.proracingsim.com). Is it any good/realistic? Any other software packages that anyone can recommend?

I know it's not going to be 100% accurate, but I'm trying to read/learn as much as I can before I actually start working on anything. Thanks in advace!

I love the Performance Trends Engine Analyzer program. It costs a little to get, but has been pretty accurate.

I like EA also.

This would probably be beset suited in either LT1 or LS1 Tech. I'll move it to LS1 Tech. Thanks.

kmook,
Sorry about the wrong forum.

Anyway, so does EA come pretty close to real life? Has anyone tried their other apps? The suspension & track ones look pretty good.

Thanks!

ProSim is the new name for the company fka Motion Software. The name of the product was formerly DesktopDyno.

The latest version now includes rod ratios & specific manifold modeling for the stock LS1/LS6 manifold, as well as the upcoming LSX manifold.

I did buy the product fka FastLap2003. First release was super buggy. The update they released last month is much more stable.

I'm not all that satisfied with it. If I knew where to find a fully functional version of EA Pro that was time limited, I'd like to compare it. DD is a neat toy, but until it becomes accurate for my application that's what it will remain. It appears earlier versions work better for our engines, even with the new manifold types.

So what is "EA Pro"? Do they have a site that we could check out?

Thanks,

T.
