Do you mean that ONE chick's a$$ got a whole lot bigger?

BTW, SFB767, maybe those tears in your weatherstripping were from improper installation or removal of the T-tops from your car by the original owner (or one of his buddies who didn't know how to take them out or put them back in properly? ). Like the consensus seems to be on this board, most cars do NOT leak (or at least not at the severity of your car) so I find it hard to believe that it was a manufacturing defect if the majority here DON'T have that problem, and even cars as old as 95's / 96's that I've seen DON'T have those tears you're describing. Chances are it's from abuse / misuse / lack of maintenance.

........to put it another way, it's like saying that my engine has a knock, although the mechanic forgot to tighten the rod bolts when he put it together, but still it has a knock so most engines must knock.

.......fine to say that your car leaks, but with good weatherstripping, it wouldn't.

Ok.

Like I said before, I don't mention the t-top issue at all unless asked about it.

Look at this thread:
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...hreadid=412704

Now tell me that all of the respondents to that thread don't make up a generous majority of t-top owners on LS1.com, and I'll bet most LS1 owners are on that site.

Go set up a poll on that site and this one asking if people's t-tops have ever leaked. If you get more t-top people saying that they've NEVER had a leak, EVER, then I'll concede my argument to you.

I'd bet good money that at least 75% of all LS1 owners don't post on any internet website at all.

I LOVE my hartop. I have had a vert t-tops and hardtop and by far the quietest and my favoritew is the hardtop. I would rather have a vert than t-tops. But the ragtop and t-tops were so much noisier. I LOVE my hardtop. Plus to me they look much cleaner.
