lid...DEFINATELY

cai since you already have tthe ram air...probably not worth the $$

if you wanted a more effective means of getting air in you could ditch the factory ram air and use a SSRA system. they are a track proven .1sec gain over most cai units. i have a link in my sig.

as for type of lid...the resounding opinion is "a lid is a lid is a lid" get what you like or can afford

If you have a few bux to spend, get the FlowPac from SLP, i picked up a good .3 seconds and 5 mph trap speed...it comes with an air lid, cai, bellows, and k&n filter...300 bux

Like he says, get the SSRA. It's the only one that has a scoop on it. The scoop is located under the bumper. That SLP CAI is a piece of ****. Also a bellows is a waste of $.

I'm sure 98% of the .3 was due to the lid, an item you could have gotten for only $75 brand new.

I got the SLP CAI last year. Although the SSRA looks really sweet I have to wonder how much crap gets up in your filter. The other day I was following a truck and some moron cut his grass (blowing the cut blades of grass into the street). The truck in front of me made a nice cloud of the crap that was unavoidable. I checked my filter when I got home and not a single piece of grass was there.

If SSRA doesn't allow small debris (as grass clippings) up into your filter, do they have an adapter that would hook onto the bottom of the SLP CAI?

IMO, the SSRA is graet, but my friend had one, and he said it scraped on everything, and caused his air lid and fildter houseing to become loose because of it hitting things...

Yes the same company that makes the SSRA, also makes a scoop for the FTRA and SLP kits.

Re: cold air induction kit?

just save yourself the hassle and extra $$ and get the SSRA from the get-go

i've had mine on for over a year, in south florida (home of hurricanes and heavy rain) and have not had any problems with water or debris getting into the filter.

naturally there is a bit more dust and stuff associated with it, but that's what the filter is for. i have the K&N filter so i rinse it out every month or so.

i've only hit my scoop once, it clears all the parking lot stopper-things and all speed bumps easily by 1-2".
only reason i hit it was i was a bit rushed and pulled to close to a very high curb to park.
