cold air induction kit?
Re: cold air induction kit?
lid...DEFINATELY
cai since you already have tthe ram air...probably not worth the $$
if you wanted a more effective means of getting air in you could ditch the factory ram air and use a SSRA system. they are a track proven .1sec gain over most cai units. i have a link in my sig.
as for type of lid...the resounding opinion is "a lid is a lid is a lid" get what you like or can afford

Like he says, get the SSRA. It's the only one that has a scoop on it. The scoop is located under the bumper. That SLP CAI is a piece of ****. Also a bellows is a waste of $.

If SSRA doesn't allow small debris (as grass clippings) up into your filter, do they have an adapter that would hook onto the bottom of the SLP CAI?

I checked my filter when I got home and not a single piece of grass was there.

Re: cold air induction kit?
just save yourself the hassle and extra $$ and get the SSRA from the get-go
i've had mine on for over a year, in south florida (home of hurricanes and heavy rain) and have not had any problems with water or debris getting into the filter.
naturally there is a bit more dust and stuff associated with it, but that's what the filter is for. i have the K&N filter so i rinse it out every month or so.
i've only hit my scoop once, it clears all the parking lot stopper-things and all speed bumps easily by 1-2".
only reason i hit it was i was a bit rushed and pulled to close to a very high curb to park.
