coated headers

I purchased a set of SLP long tube headers and had them installed in September, since then I have put about 7,000 miles on them. I have noticed discoloration on them. I t started on one tube after the flange at first and is becoming dark brown. The rest are starting to show slight discoloration. Is this normal or is this the sign of a problem?

If they are not coated(which i am assuing they are not) then the discolleration is normal. it is just do from the high temperatures of the exhaust gas that passes through them. if this does bother you one possible solution is to have them jet-hot coated but that would require removing them and having them sent away.
