About to install electric cutout. Any tips, hints, etc?

The install looks pretty straight forward. I'm going to mount the switch in the ash tray. Any other pointers? Thanks

Have fun......

Make sure all wires are away from any parts that get hot or rotate. Secure all wires and don't leave any hanging out because they could catch and tear apart your electric cutout.

Good luck!

It is straight forward. Took me about 45 mins to go, but I am **** about things so I was taking my time and doing it right. I made about 8 bucks doing it too. You would be surprised at how much change is under your carpet.

Got it installed. Pretty cool little device. My cutout was installed in the wrong place too. I had to run by the exaust shop and have them scoot it back 2 inches to make it fit. That was a pain in the *** but everything else went well. I put the switch in the ash tray and hooked the positive wire to the traction control switch. Not too bad. Now if a cop pulls me over for my exaust being too loud, I close it and be like, "Are you sure it was me? (rev engine) Doesn't sound too loud. Heh heh.

If you ever decide to move the switch, I like the idea of using an OEM convertible top switch in the stock location. It doesn't look "out of place" and is what I did in my WS6.

I see you're in Nashville. Are you part of the MTFBA? If so, we're trying to do a joint club event this fall, so be looking for us to come up and invade NashVegas again.
