Changing plugs

I had the plugs changed in my 97 LT-1 at 101k miles, and was a B*^#h to do!!
Are the LS-1 engines any easier to do?
I have 108k on the original ones in my 2000, runs good but think I should give the ole girl a fresh set.
Suggestions??

Re: Changing plugs

Driver's side is easy, remove the air tube on passenger side. #8 was the PITA for me, but got it from the top. I think there's a writeup at installuniversity.com

Re: Changing plugs

Clearance was much better than my 89 Formula 350 once I popped off the air tubes and coil packs on passenger side.... except for #8.

Mine were incredibly tight, but others have said theirs weren't.

edit: Holy jeez, 108K!!! Did mine at 50k and they were crap, bet you feel a good difference, I know I did.

Re: Changing plugs

all are easy to do with ur plug socket and just a 3/8 in ratchet. #8 will sometimes need to be done from the bottom but either way its a PITA!

Re: Changing plugs

Throw a set of long tubes on there while you're doing it and it makes the job that much easier.
