car won't start, crank

i am going to combine my posts from another site regarding this issue. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

Middle of Februrary:
went out to my car at work to get lunch and i was welcomed with a car that doesn't start. battery is not dead and all accessories turn on. security light also goes off so I know that it is not a problem with the chip in the key. i do not hear the starter clicking when i turn the ignition to start the car. tried jumping the car thinking that the battery was low enough that it might affect the starter, but i get the same results of the engine not turning over and not hearing anything from the starter. any suggestions would be appreciated. i also check and verified that the battery has a green dot in the plastic window.

Today:
well, since this last problem, it has done it twice. once about a month back and then again today. i replaced the battery and neutral safety switch on the clutch. wouldn't work, go back out to the car the next day and it fires right up. right now it currently wont start again. i have checked the ground wires and there are no loose connections. when i turn the key, all the dash lights (ses, brake, security, abs, check gauges, etc) turn off when I crank the key. i can hear the fuel pump turn on. what i don't get is if it is the starter, why it works consistently for up to several months and then not work, then two days later works like a charm again when i haven't touched the car. tried both keys, does not make a difference. car is currently sitting in front of my house in the street.

I'd agree. The warmer weather is probably making it worse now.

corroded wires

My SUV (Tahoe) did the same thing, dash lights turned off when i would try to start it and it didn't do it all time. I replaced the positive wire and no more trouble.
