Comp Pro Magnum 1.85 rocker install question

I'm doing my first work on an LS1, a friend's 02 WS6. I'm an LT1 guy. Forgive me.
We are installing Comp's Pro Magnum 1.85 #13705-KIT along with Beehives and Comp pushrods, FAST intake......I know the OE valvetrain is a "net lash" set up, just bolt them in and torque to 22 lb ft.
Do I bolt in the Comps like the stock rockers or do I find zero lash and adjust preload just like I would do on my LT1?

Thanks for your help!
Chad

The second method is correct for the promags but I can't think of the correct number of turms after 0. What happened to the instruction sheet? It should have the correct info.

The instruction sheet has no info pertaining to Gen 3/4 small blocks specifically.

Thanks

Don't fool with aftermarket rockers on LS1 hydraulic roller setups unless you're going with something that absolutely needs shaft rockers. Save yourself some time/headache. Every car in my sig has/had stock rockers. (besides the LT1 car)

Mike I know that you're busy with modding the lounge and kill section but could you please take a second and read the origional post?
He's installing a 1.85 rocker kit with springs and pushrods. Staying with stock 1.70 rockers will kind of defeat the purpose of the project.

Yeah, well..

In that case, if you're using non-self adjusting rockers (aftermarket rockers), you'd need to find zero lash and adjust accordingly.

I set them to 3/4 turn from zero lash, car runs great. For those who are considering the Comp 1.85 Pro Mags, they do not fit under the stock valve covers unless you do a little modding.....

The rockers were not a big deal, typical hot rodding mods, a little grinding here, a little there......... removed the drivers side shield, ground some on the inside of the valve cover, a little grounding on the pass. side.

Thanks
