Cam selection and install questions??

i was thinking thunder racings T-rex cam with its upgraded springs, retainers, and pushrods package. something about 450 to the wheels really appeals to me I will have it tuned by rapid motorsports when the time comes.

My questions are. Where can i find a good cam install guide? I work on cars for a living, but this is the first time to ever open up an ls1.

Last question, what do u guys think about this cam selection? This car is a daily driver during the summer/spring/fall months. Parked during the winter. It sees lots of track time as well. Sort of a street/strip car.

Thanks

A lot of good install docs there. Some general information about cam selection also. I'd guess the T-rex might be a little too aggressive for daily driving... :dunno:

good luck!

beat me to it. ls1howto is a great site. The t-rex is pretty aggressive for daily driver but thats my opinion. Make sure you research the hell outta that cam because I have heard many stories of other dyno pulls not coming nearly as close to that 450 mark that TR claims. good luck tho.
