Cam finally installed! Question

After talking about it for about 6mo I finally took a weekend and threw this G5x2 in.

Do people still drill the throttle bodies anymore or is that an old practice? It needs tuned bad, but I didn't know if that will help or not because I have a drive that's a little over an hour to my tuner with a lot of stoplights...

Maybe I should take a country route even if it is a little longer. !

Vid of the idle just for kicks (112 lsa):

I wouldnt drill anything unless whoever is going to tune it tells you to do so.

Since its got a lot of stoplights on the way, practice your one foot on the brake, one on the gas skills b/c your gonna need 'em !

Isn't there a set screw you can use to open up the throttle body a little? I would just do that until you get it tuned. A good tuner should be able to get that idling fine without drilling a hole.

Sounds good. Definitely don't drill a hole, there's really no need because the tuner should take care of it.

Yeah, I took it for a short drive yesterday and found that out. It's not bad if I creep to a stop REAL slow; but if I have to stop quickly or even normal for that matter = stall.

adjust the throttle screw, then reset the TPS sensor (unplug and turn ign on for 20sec)

will probably help considerably

oh...and get an early AM appointment at the tuner...and drive it at night...then sleep in the car.
