I still have my original BFG KD's on all four corners. 24,000 miles so far and there is still life in them. These tires have excellent off the line traction, especially after a burn out. Looking at the tread it's obvious these tires are serious performers. Being the KD's are designed for dry weather they have minimal grooves (large contact patch).

For a "dry" tire they grip surprisingly well in the wet. I like these tires so much I am getting another set.

When you running the Nitto 555's on 18's its probably not gonna make a big difference from stock tires.

I have had SZ50's allready and I can't say I liked them. They seem to be narrower than most tires of the same size.

I had the firestone SZ50 i hated them, horrible tread life, and horrible dry traction, they were good in the rain I will give them that. I replaced them with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's these so far have proven to be the best set of tires i have on my car, excellent dry traction, amazing in the rain and handling is awesome as well. They are a little noisy, but then again so is my car so whats that really matter.

I am running Michelin Pilot Sports for a while now. Awesome tires, turned my car into a BMW in the rain.

I've had BFG G-Force KDW's on my SS for over a year now or about 15K miles. They are showing very little wear. Much better than the Goodyear sh*t they put on the car when it was new. Handles great, corners like it is on rails and excellent wet road traction. Only possible complaint I might have about them is that they are very noisey especially at highway speeds.

I got the KDWS on my car also, about 5k on them so far, can't rotate them since i got 245 in front and 275 in rear, but i like them, roasted them a few times, still have a ton of tread, and the traction in the rain hasn't been a problem either, ive gotten a lot of practice in the wet weather also, it rained every day for like 4 weeks ...id recommend them

same carcass, different tread compound and pattern.

i just replaced the kdw with the kdws- better wet traction and about 85-90% of the dry traction of the kdw. steering response and stability are about the same. the kdws is a good bit quieter, too.

i've never had a problem with tracking (alignment specs: -.9 camber, 4.25 caster, 1/8" toe in) on either and have gotten good mileage out of both with proper inflation and by rotating and balancing every 5,000 miles.

I can go as far to say I am the pickiest person on this board, I just had a nice road trip on my KDWS's and nothing I have had even comes close to these tires. I have had SZ50's, F1's and GSC's.

They aren't for people with sensitive a$$ meters though, with my cars SLP Bilstein suspension I can feel every little bump. I think I could even feel dry gum on the pavement!
