BFGoodrich G-Force KDWS

I am still trying to decide on shoes for my SS, is anyone running these? I am trying to decide if I can live without directional tires.

I was underwhelmed by them ... did the same thing you did searched all the forums and eveyone said they were wonderful ...

They tracked alot, were noisy, handled so-so, were skittish in the rain and didn't wear evenly or all that well for that matter.

I replaced them with Ventus from Les Schwab for less than half the price of what I paid for the KDWs ... frankly the Ventus have proven to be a superior tire in all catagories over the KDWs - better tracking, handling, road wear, less noise and handle firmer in the rain ...

Good Luck

Have them on the front of my car. I have BFG G-force drag radials in the rear. The KDWS are 245/45/17. Theyre excellent tires. They hold the road and handle better than the Goodyear F1s did. Rain is alright I guess but I have them on the front. My recomendation is put these on the front as they have extremely long wear, and very good traction and temprature ractings, and get the BFG KD tires for the rear. Those tires grip like mad. Or you can get DRs like me but you'll be buying new "shoes" often. Like every 5k miles.

They handled OK, but they didn't last too long...I think I got ~ 15k out of them.

Here's a pic from BFG's site to show you the tread pattern.

That's it? I have 9K on mine right now and they're showing no signs of wear at all. I've also rotated them every 3K. Were you hard on your tires?

I run the BFG KDWS 245/50/16s on my car and highly recommend them. They are the best tires I've ever had on any of my cars.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Those are the worst mothereffin tires Ive ever had in my life. Those things sucked so much a$$ they ran a 14.8 on my car with the traction they provided me. My stock tires manged a 13.3. Needless to say I got rid of those pieces of **** very quickly and they were tragic in the rain. Those things burned through every gear in the dry.

First as suggested put KD's on back,
Not recomended unless you plan on NEVER rotating
since the KD is directional and sided.
I've had both and the KDWS suck as far as life.
They work very well in rain especially compared to
the KD, but that's not what the KD was designed for so
you can't really knock it, but if it's a daily driver-beware.
You still can go in the snow(talking about the 275's)

My biggest bitch is the wear, rated for high wear my
a$$. I don't drive hard so I sold my KD for these
plus my is a Daily driver. I put 5000 on the KD used
1-2 32ths tread, 6000 on KDWS used 5-6 32ths WTF!!!!
I don't burn them out, or take to track.
I check the PSI once a month.

Bottomline-I would NEVER buy the KDWS again NOR
recomend them to my worst enemy.
I'm looking to either Kuhmo's of KDW next

Well, hopefully i'll have better luck with them than you did!
I didn't mention that i went from the goodyear gsc's to the nitto's. My gsc were terrifying in the rain! I'd barely get above 55 without hydroplaining. The width of my 555's probably has something to do with the grip they have (285/35's)
