Best Head/Cam package

I'm going to purchase a head/cam package this spring and was wondering if I could get some recommendations for the best packages between 2K and 2.5K.
The car does not have to have great street manners. Any help would be greatly appreciated, of course. This is for my 99 Z28, by the way.

For that price range and no worry about daily-driveability , I'd suggest something on the more radical-side like the Futral Motorsports F-15 and Dart 225cc setup along with the LS6 intake manifold and ported stock TB (if you don't have the money for the FAST 90/90 intake/TB). I made 471rwhp/416rwtq with that setup including the FAST stuff.

I'd expect to make around 450 rwhp with that combo through a 6-speed.

471 HP! Damn. Couple questions. What kind of head gasket did you use? Can I use the springs that come on the Darts? What pushrods did you use? And finally...was all the power high end or evenly distributed? Thanks for your help.

AFR is about the best for the $$ but have a nice pricetag on them.. Dart is a good runner up though.. Patriots are popular also on the cheaper side.. Give us a shout/email and we'd be glad to price some packages together for ya...

Stock headgaskets. The springs on the Darts are rated pretty high -- you can use them. I used some hardened pushrods (necessary on any cam swap), but I don't remember the length.

The power comes on HARD right around 4200 rpm and revs to around 7000. It's kinda high-end, but isn't a big deal if you have 4.10s or even 3.90s.

If you want to try a smaller cam that will make similar power and peak a little lower, you can try the F-14 instead of the F-15.

471rwhp is closer to around 550 HP.
