I think the replacement SLP Y-pipe we see for sale is a replacement for people with shorties or stock manifolds. I think the one that comes with their headers is a matching Y-pipe for Long tubes. I could be wrong though, too.

You'll still need the cats & install kit which is like another $450 or so.

"NOTES: Requires Installation Kit #30054. Automatic-transmission-equipped convertibles will also require Crossbrace Kit #30055. Use with Catalytic Converters (Part #31037)."

who said you had to have cats and that specific install kit.

you can buy our own clamps and re-use your metal gaskets and pick up o2 sims for cheap somewhere else if you even want to. running without the rear o2's beyond the SES light doesnt effect anything. and the code can be turned off with edit when one goes in for a tune.

Well, given that part #, you need the cats or you'll have a nice little gap between the headers & y-pipe on each side. As for gaskets, bolts & clamps...you'll have to spend a few bucks either way. I wouldn't recommend reusing the stock gaskets unless you like dealing with leaks.

Yeah I read an article in GM HIgh Tech Performance where they did an install on a LS1 and the cats go between the headers and y pipe.
