chilton vs. haynes whats better?

Question chilton vs. haynes whats better?

i had a haynes manual but i lost it, i was wondering whats better between chilton and haynes (i know helm is the best) but i dont have 100 bux for that. thanks

honestly, i can't understand either of em but i like the haynes more

Chiltons seems more in depth (some troubleshooting charts & wiring diagrams), but the Haynes is better illustrated.

As far as the Helms running $100, check Ebay and also :

www.factoryautomanuals.com .

You may have to check a while, but if you're patient I'll bet you'll eventually be able to find a set for $50 or less.

When I had my 95Z I got a used set from the automanuals site for $50-$60. I got a NEW set for my SS off of Ebay for $25 and a NEW set for my wife's Sunfire for $20.

Haynes is cheap , chilton is detailed . My family is nothing but mechanics , And My uncle owns a fairly large garage ....He swears chiltons is way better ...But it is more costly .. You can pick up a haynes manaul for 13 bucks
