Angry ac problem

Hey guys (or girls) I was wondering if any of you have ever had this problem? My a/c gets cold and blows fine but no matter which setting I have it on (MAX, a/c, defrost, etc.) it only blows on my feet and the windshield. I'm guessing that the router is malfunctioning but how do I fix it and how much?

Thanks for the help ahead of time
Mike

Look for a vacuumleak to your HVAC control panel.

It uses vacuum to operate servos to actuate duct selections.

If no vacuum exsists it will go to defrost.

Both my A/C and rear defrost blew at the same time, last fall. The A/C doesn't blow cold, the dealership told me I blew the compressor, and something about a Tube? And the rear defrost wouldn't engage at all. Of course, my car is still under warranty so they are fixing it all for free. So I couldn't tell you what your A/C might cost.

What the dealership doesn't know, is I think I may have blown both by drag racing not sure about the A/C, but the rear defrost crapped out on me after a night down at the track. I think at different times I might have forgotten to turn them off before launching. Not sure if that is enough to screw up all that electronic stuff, but my AC compressor is siezed and they had to replace the whole defrost switch.

I know this post isn't very helpful, lol. Just felt like typing it.

It is the ,
heating ventalation air conditioning control panel.

It has the blower switch , temp select & duct select on it.

If there is a vacuum leak it usually is under hood or where line goes thru firewall.
