2002 z28 EGR?

From what I had gathered, they removed EGR from the Z28 in 01. But as far as I can tell, my 02 has it. Or, more likely, its something else. Can somebody enlighten me? Theres a hose attached to the forwardmost cylinder on both banks. I have a picture of it on the passenger side.

Thanks for your help.

That's just the tubes from the Air pump (down below fuse box under the hood); 98-02 all have them. If you want to remove them buy/make some block off plates and plug the hole in the side of the air box.

It'll clean up the engine compartment, and drop a few pounds if you remove the pump. It will throw a code, but a tuner can delete that.

The AIR system pumps fresh air into the exhaust manifolds at certain times to help catylitic converter effeciency. It doesn't hurt performance in any way other than the 4-5lbs that the whole system weighs. Removing it drops and little weight and cleans up the engine compartment.
