98-99 cam in 02

has anybody ever tried putting an older camshaft into one of the newer engines with the ls6 intake manifold? if so, how were the gains? sound difference? any tips? thanks for the help

There's too much work involved in a cam change to bother with such a tiny tiny change. You want to do a cheap cam swap? Find a used mid range cam and get something tangible for your time.

i can definitely see your point. i just dont want to lose too much mileage from a cam, so i thought one of the older ones might be a good idea.
