$ burning a hole in my pocket!

Re: $ burning a hole in my pocket!
I do not want to upset the streetable nature of the car or create a headache...I am fearful a torque converter because I have never changed the stall speed in any other cars I have owned. I am being foolish???
Do I really need to change the rear end? I would think the car would have to make serious HP to need a new rear. I am going with the 3:73 gears though. is this a mistake???
Last question...for those you have done cam/head work...did you do it yourselves or speed shop?
Sorry for all the questions, but I always get great feedback here!

Re: $ burning a hole in my pocket!
Basically if you will be launching your car hard you NEED a rear end. Also, with 425rwhp, dont expect that tranny to last long, might want to think about talking to CPT to get a tranny. If you spend the 600-700 on a good torque converter, do it right the first time. Go with precision industries and go with at least a 3200. Any lower and you will most likely want to get it restalled higher. It will act mostly stock until you get on it, then your rpms will go sky high and you'll be thrown back into your seat. Who wouldnt want that!? lol...
