I don't know if its just me, but my @%# nose cone seems to have a massive magnet in it, just in the year I've owned it its been hit (not my fault) FOUR times! I park waaaaay the hell out in the parking lot too. Maybe this is something just about firebirds, but DAMN its annoying.

Of course I still love it more than any other car I've ever owned...
Those "jack points" are just tempting spots to put a jack, but they're not jack points. Once you do it, you have bent up fenders.

These cars can be a pain in the a** but nothing feels better when all your friends drive stangs and they are all trying to play catch up.

Another reason why the f-body needs subframes

I look at them as obsticles......like driving at night and you can only see 20 feet in front of you

The Flaws of our cars. It's what makes us proud to own an F-body...........it's the reason we own the F-body and not the Corvette(who wants a car that starts every time you crank her over.....lol)....these flaws are what brings us together. We know the stuggles that each of us go through just to keep these cars going. The Camaro has always been a name you knew and it still is. The Camaro has always been a group to stick together.....these flaws bring us even closer. We are here now and will be here in the future......they cannot get rid of us. I will be changing optis 30 years from know (if i can still get them).

OK I said to myself I wasn't gonna post but DAMN quit pickin on the damn car.

1. Optispark, optispark, optispark. Thats all I EVER hear I got almost 100,000 miles outta mine and the car started running ROUGH so I changed it.. am I the only one that finds that INCREDIBLE!!!! remember buying cap, rotor, wires, and plugs every 10-15,000? Now granted mine was vented from the factory

2. The "HUMP" on the passenger side. WHO CARES, I Never sit there, and it's not like it's a mountain, It's 2 inches of space, Near the seat unless your 4ft tall, it's not gonna be a problem

3. Headlights, , , Shame on you you pontiac drivers comes with the territory

these so called flaws I call "Features" and remember F-Bods (IMO) are the last american muscle cars Bad *** attitude there not supposed to be BMW's !!!

I have never seen anyone come up to me on the highway, so I didn't know anything about the blind spots until tonight.

All the other features about my Z28 reported here, if they weren't there, I would think I'm driving my wife's Avenger.

Damm, I love this car.

Other than that i love my car.

If you think the 4th gens had bad build quality, u should have drove my old 3rd gen. The dash would jump up and down at speeds of 80+mph. the roofboard would sag worse and worse every summer day, the seats tore easy, fold up button on the back of the seats would break, No cupholder whatsoever, no glovebox, horrible ac system controls that hissed at you, front tires rubbed on sharp turns with little 225's

the 4th gens are built soo much more snug than the 3rd gens. Dont get me wrong tho, i still love the look of a nice clean 3rd.
You speak the truth. I traded in a 1982 Indy 500 Pace car for my SS. I doubt you could find 2 cars that were more different.

when it comes to washing the car is is annoying how water always collects:

-under the spoiler (the seam), which runs either inside the car or onto the tailights.
-in the 'troughs' next to the hatch unleash onto the rear of the. car the first time you take off.
-in the mirror casings.
-on the cracks of the side markers.
-in the cracks of the turn signals.

I have adapted to using technique to overcome many of these, but sometimes it seems the water coming from a single crack is endless/infinite

On the plus side, I dont hate anything about my car

I have 2 95 f-bodies, Z28 and T/A love them both and yes the do have problems but when something goes wrong you know how to fix them due to past experiences and reading this board. These days the LT1 f-bodies are getting very cheap to purchase. You could buy a '90 GT stang and pay more for it and it would definately be ragged out. I would rather buy a decent f-body that may need some work but will cost you less than the GT. For the lesser priced f-body you will get better performance, better handling, more comfortable interior, better sound system, and a car that looks like a '90's car not a car that started its life in 1979 and has only had minor upgrades, 4 lug wheels, rear drum brakes, and a weak T5 transmission.

The worst design flaw has to be the way they designed the shape/spacing of the T56 and surrounding area. It is freaking rediculous. I spent half the day literally wrestling with my transmission, first to get it out, then to get it back in, to no avail. This was with a tranny jack, and a floor jack. Could they have maybe designed it so that we had an extra 1/2 inch around the belhousing, so that there is room to move the tranny high enough to line up the input shaft, or would it have been too much to ask to cast a little flat spot on the bottom of the tranny, so that it would be possible to keep it level. I know ease of working on the vehicle usually doesn't rate too high on the design priorities, but a freakin pointed transmission, give me a break. If nothing else it is a safety issue. Anyway, I am just frustrated and needed to vent, thanks for listening. Hopefully tomorrow with a fresh perspective, I will have better results.
I've never had a problem with the setup. Had it in and out of there over 20 times atleast. Of course after that many times I don't think it's a big deal. The first time was a peti.
