Window leak like crazy! Need help

Both of my windows leak, started out minor when i first got the car with about 120K miles. It usually just leaks when i wash my car, i never go with the automatic wash. I was in a hurry last night so I went ahead and used the automatic car wash. Man that was a mistake. I noticed it leaking fairly bad when the washers was going around, but when the high pressure ones came on, i thought there was going to be an inch of water in my back floorboard. I had no towel or clothes to try and stop it..so i used my hand the best i could. I will never use that automatic until i can get this fixed. How can i get both sides from leaking?

---> About 6 months or so my driver side window track got busted up. My stepdad and got down inside the door and welded it back and has worked fine ever since. This could have made the leak a little worse, but its still bad on both sides.

Is your car a hardtop? If so I have a set of hardtop weatherstrippings. Out of a hardtop 2000 v6 with 45k when I pulled them and converted to t-tops.

I have heard that be peoples problems before.

If your interested in them PM me.

try building up the seal with some of the sticky black crap they use to seal around windshields. You can get a box of it at autozone. Thats what i used, and it helped alot.

On my Tech Page there is a guide for adjusting the windows that might help.

Re: Window leak like crazy! Need help

There are 3 things that can cause this:

- window motor not strong enough to push window firmly against the seal

- weatherstrip needs to be replaced

- window tracks need to be adjusted
