window carrier replacement

window carrier replacement

ok, so i got the window free, and its inside the door, and i cant seem to get the glass out of the top to replace the carrier.

any advice or am i gonna have to drill out those rivits and re-rivet them when i am finished, i have a rivet gun too.

You will have to drill out rivets if you are referring to taking the glass out of a 4th gen.

yeah, drilled them out, got the glass out of the car, and now i forgot how the regulator goes. which slider goes into which slide in which order...thanks shoebox, already been lookin through your site for any pictures and the auto parts stores are out of manuals

excellent, wont need that till tomorrow as i have managed to shatter my window all over the garage tightening the new bolts down on the carrier

yeah, i got the new glass, stripped the crappy tint off of it, cleaned the grease pen off the outside, and used red loctite instead of lockwashers, they caused too much pressure on the glass and caused it to shatter. which really sucked cleaning up.


time to get back to work, thanks for everything shoebox and lower, i really appreciate it.
