Re: White smoke

It's steam, and it means there's water/coolant in your oil. It usually means it's time for new head gaskets.

Re: White smoke

If you can hold out till Thursday night, you are just a stones throw from Irwindale Speedway and on that day-5-= to 10pm they have the NHRA Thursday night Thunder going on so I would walk around the pits and ask who they suggest for repairs, upgrades, and tuning. And take notes.Hope this helps.
P.S. When you do get this done, have them throw a new egr valve on there.I've been trying to get my egr valve off for 3 days with every tool I can get my hands on.It's easier with the manifold off.I've got plumbing on the back like no other f-body,no room.Anyway,it's holding vacuum for 20 minutes or so and I'm just going to leave it be and call it a day.I am ready for Halloween though,my arms and fingers are all scraped up real good.Hope this helps.

93 thru 97 EGR valve location is the same for all years. What is different on the 93 is the fact that the 93 plumbing combines the EGR and AIR piping.

EGR valve, all years, with 94-97 EGR pipe to rear/passenger side of intake manifold.

AIR 94-97

93 combined EGR/AIR

But this all tends to be extraneous to replacing a head gasket. Have you tried wedging a screwdriver or a thin scraper bade between the EGR valve mounting flange and the intake manifold, to break the bond on the gasket? Should come right off.

Might go to 4th Gen $5 Starter Kill
$5.00 kill switch.
My alarm system already has this built into it.Maybe yours as well.
You can also just pull the fuel pump fuse and that will make the car not start but that becomes monotonous.(boring).Hope this helps.
