Top of engine oiling

Hey guys,
I have a rebuilt long block in my 72 Vega. Has a cc503, roller tipped rockers and headers. Also running a GMPP carb intake and 1406. Otherwise stock. Fired it this past weekend. Didn't oil the rockers. Has run maybe a minute in total. Thinking the cam bearings may be incorrectly installed?

Checked the engine by priming with an oil pump primer and drill and the drill was loading down so the pump is at least attempting to push oil.

Ideas?

Do you have an oil pressure gauge/sensor installed? If so, does it show pressure, how much pressure, and where is the oil pressure sensor installed?

It hasn't run long enough to get oil going to the rockers. It takes several minutes or longer on an LT1 for some reason on a new build. Hopefully you pre-lubed all the valvetrain.

Also, I believe if the lifters were dry when installed, they would have to pump up before they will spit oil up the pushrods to the rockers.

I always soak my lifters standing upright in a pail of oil before install.

Also, I usually pull the ignition and fuel pump fuses and then crank the engine until good oil pressure at the gauge. I would just keep running the pump primer until you see oil at the rockers.
