wheel noise

When I apply the brakes at a slow speed I hear a wierd noise kinda like the tire is rubbing on something. It also does it when i am turning. Could it be the tire brand. I have the original rims and tire size 275/40.

Please read the sticky about posting in the LS1 Tech section before posting in aforementioned section.

General wheel and brake questions do not belong there.

Yes, you may have a very little rubbing with 275s on the front.

id say start simple. look at the back of the rotors to make sure that your pad isnt gone. ive seen that more often then not. if thats fine, then check the side wall of your tires, the evidence should be easy to find if it is rubbing. other than that, there are a handful of suspension components that make "weird" noises. but without hearing it, not much more i can offer...

Drive with a wall on the driver's side of the car, and try and determine if the noise is coming from the front or rear of the car. You've got to narrow it down a bit.
