I found two inches of water under my back seat due to a bad seal with my T-Tops. I have since fixed it and pulled my carpet up to let it dry out. What should I do now to keep it from molding? It hasn't but it does kinda smell musty. Should I just douse the underpadding with Lysol to kill any mold spores? Would that help the smell?

 

I usually run a steam cleaner through my carpeting and let it air dry for a couple hours. It seems to do the trick with odors and stains.
