Trip / Oil Reset ?

My trip odometer seems to reset everytime I turn the car off. I am under the impression it shouldn't reset until I push the little **** to reset it back to 0.

I looked in the owners manual and did a search but could not find anything that helped me.

Thank You

Re: Trip / Oil Reset ?

maybe there is a battery in the odometer that holds the trip odometer info, and that battery is bad?

Wouldn't that mean the odometer would reset?

If your car battery is good check out GM TSB #99-08-49-009 "Trip Odometer Resets to Zero (Exchange/Install Instrument Cluster)" for '99 Camaro/Firebird.
