trans am lt1 vs. ws6

Other than the rims, ram air hood, hurst shifter, emblems, sway bars, and stiffer , are there any differences? Also is there any way to tell from the VIN if a 97 trans am is a real ws6? Thanks guys

Can't tell much of anything from the VIN, unless you have the dealer run the build sheet for it. But you can look at the build code tag for RPO "WS6".

Yes, Hurst shifter would have been added on afterward.

If your looking for the RPO build tag. On most LT1's it's in the Glove box, on some `97 models they started putting them on the drivers door. And all LS1 cars have them on the door.
