If this turns out to be true we can probably forget about ever getting another Camaro, GM will be in deep financial trouble and its stock will fall like a sack of bricks.

Odds are that its just market panic because of Worldcom. I will be suprised if there is actually something there, but its worth watching to see.

Yea, but for the price Chrysler spent developing & producing the Viper (and probally the Prowler combined), was still far cheaper than what GM spent just on the 1998 Camaro's new nose, so that's not a very encouraging thought.

Makes you wonder now why it costs GM so much to bring a new car to market or introduce even the slightest change, like nose or even wheel design.
There's the cost of the project (small percentage) and then there's the amount that gets skimmed for the board members (large percentage).
Those big project numbers they always quote are probably lining their pockets.
