there are rivets holding the glass to the window track. You'll need to drill out the rivets. It's a PITA. Use bolts with nylon lock nuts to reinstall so you never have to deal with the rivets again.

the assembled window tracks:



The top track pictured is the one that rivets to the glass. You can see where I drilled out the rivets.


Here is the hardware I used to attach the window to the track: (the rivets were unused as I substituted bolts)


and here it is assembled (it must be assembled inthe door, I assembled it outside the door for the photo only)
