Standing up the Rad

Does anyone know if it is possible to stand the radiator straight up and keep the AC? I have seen it done without AC but not with. Pics would be helpful. Thanks Joe

The main reason why people do that swap is cause they are going big, example Turbo.

Now if your going big, why do you want to keep the A/C? You will see decent gains from removing it...weight too.

Whats you plans?

Did a rad move this winter (97ss 383 - D1 M6). I replaced the stock rad with a Be-Cool after market from Summit. I added a Vac pump crank drive, so, I had to move the rad forward. Cut top and low rad supports and fabbed new pieces. The rad is slightly angled bottom forward. From all the posts I have read, most of the turbo builders use a smaller rad (shorter heigth) than the stock. The change worked good for me, but, there were alot of details to work out. I retained the fron bumper nd did not go into the front facia. Never did like the way gm did the rad on-top of the engine. Now, I can get to everything without pulling the rad, which, is a good thing when having the blower. B.

Smaller radiator, more upright, making room for a vacuum pump mounted up high and a huge Vortech blower mounted down low. (Not my car, just one I'm familiar with):
