Squeaking in the rear hatch ???
Re: Squeaking in the rear hatch ???
I have had the same problem with both my cars, most noticed on colder days. My problem was the rear sway bar bushings. Remove the bushings, coat the inside of them with wheel bearing grease and reinstall, fixed my problem. 15 minute fix.
Re: Squeaking in the rear hatch ???
first thing to check is the little bump stop things, turn them out a twist or two and see if the squeek goes away.
if not, it might be the struts themselves. have a friend sit in the back seat while driving and start pushing on the struts to see if the squeek goes away.
in my old 95 z28 the top of the strut was loose and squeeked like crazy.

Mine did the same thing.... Chris (aka IrocSS85 here) took care of mine for me one day at the dealership. Found out that it was the right exhaust hanger that was rubbing. Good luck tracking you'rs down.

Mine was doing the same, and i rapped electrical tape around the metal hoop that holds the hatch closed and it took care of mine. Your going to get alot of different answers because there are alot of different noises that come from our cars. Good luck.
