My Camaro 94 z28 will not start because of my computer VATS I need to have that delete and a wiring harness replace or rewired but it’s hard to find people that know how to tune 94 ECU ... wat should I do ?? I need someone’s help in Vegas ASAP
Re: Smh
If you want to bypass vats, the process isn’t too bad.
Take a multi meter and check the resistance on your key by touching the contacts on both sides with the leads. Notate the resistance.
Locate a resistor with the same resistance as what you found on your key (Frys, Radio Shack, Amazon, etc).
remove the panel from under the steering column and locate the orange cable coming from the steering column. Disconnect the cable, and insert the resistor leads into the car side of the wire. Youll likely need to trim the leads to make it fit. I suggest securing the resistor with some electrical tape.
Test starting the car.

Re: Smh
Can be a problem with the key resistance circuit as described above, or the 60Hz fuel permit signal from the theft deterrent module (TDM) to the PCM. Read Shoeboxe’s writeup. There is a TDM signal bypas module available. Neither of the bypasses requires reprogramming the PCM. But if you prefer programming VATS (actually PASS-Key-2j out of the PCM, any LT1 mail order tuner can do it.
