Re: sensor question

For IAC and temp sensors, go to the "How To" pages on Shoebox's website:

http://shbox.com/1/how_tos.html

Temp sensors = Item #13

IAC motor (its not a sensor, its an actuator with two resistance windings) = Item #41.

TPS has 3 wires. Read the supply voltage between the gray wire and the black wire (should be 5.0V). Then read the signal voltage between the blue wire and the black wire ( 0.20-0.90V at closed throttle. The closed volts + approx 4V at WOT, and a smooth transition between the two numbers as you open the throttle).

MAF output is a variable frequency. Not all meters read "frequency", but many of them do. You will see about 2,800Hz at idle (~ 9gps) and 9,000Hz (238gps) at max rpm on a stock engine. Look for 12V on the pink wire to verify the sensor is getting power.

For fuel pressure, you need a pressure gauge attached to the Schrader valve. 41-47psi at idle with the vacuum compensation line removed (43.5psi is the ideal pressure), reconnect the vacuum line and pressure will drop proportional to intake manifold vacuum.... say a 6 to 8psi drop with a stock cam, less drop with a more radical cam.

Re: sensor question

I find it can be pretty tough to "backprobe" electrical connectors with meter leads. A scanner is the easy way to read sensor values.
