My Z has merely 13,000 on it. I BARELY treat it like a daily driver in the summertime. NEVER in winter. It's a car. It's meant to be driven. Too many people overlook that.

since when is everything you see on TV....particularly Horsepower TV....gospel truth.

you don't suppose they show slightly exagerated gains because their show is payed for by sponsors.

hmmm

and they found gains, but what they didn't tell you was how many miles were on the old fluids. how do you know you couldn't get almost the same results by just changing the fluids to a more economical brand?

if they wanted to prove anything they would have changed the fluid to conventional or a competitors fluid and tested it. then swapped in the RP...

but i'm sure they still would have yielded a gain....it's all advertising.

REMEMBER they reccomend using a hypercrap hand held to tune your car!!!
i can't tell you how much i agree with you, i typed all that without even thinking of the advertising market and their bs. this is why i run valvoline maxlife synthetic, synthetic is synthetic end of story

FWIW I run a blend in both the race car and the Camaro. Has the essentially all of the synth benefits except extended change intervals, which is irrelevant, and it is quite a bit cheaper. I use Bradd Penn 10W-30 in the Camaro and 20W-50 in the race car. I pay a little over $4/q in case quantities.

30 miles is about the equivalant of 2 gals of gas. even with gas prices now, your not saving any money paying almost $7 a quart for oil.
