Question Removing steering wheel- please help.

I'm in the process of replacing my stock steering wheel on my '86 Camaro with a nice Grant GT steering wheel. Well so far, I've pulled off the hron cover, the little metal pin and a nut. Now I'm not sure where to go next and the steering wheel won't come off as it is right now. Is it possible I need a steering wheel puller?

Yep, you'll need a puller.

Allright, I'll get one. How much do those usually cost?

Anywhere from $10 to $20. You can always rent one at an auto parts store, if you want.

Go to any AutoZone and rent one. They won't actually charge you to rent it. Basically you leave a deposit for the price of the tool and get a full refund upon return of the tool.

Re: Removing steering wheel- please help.

Grant sells one for about $6.95. Worked fine on my 94.
