Removing ASR traction control
I am wondering if it is possible to get rid of the ASR traction control on a 96 Z28. I would like to retain the ABS if possible. THe reason I want to get rid of it ( besides the fact that its worthless in AZ)
is that I am upgrading to the LTCC coil per cylinder ignition and going with a PTK turbo setup. I want more room and I figure there has to be a way to ditch this waste of space. ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Removing ASR traction control
i think you'll need some new brake lines and a throttle cable.
do a search in the "forced induction" section, since it's required to run most SC setups.

Re: Removing ASR traction control
So there isnt anyone that has removed their traction control on this board?? Teke 184, thanks for the ideas. Im thinking they might get pissed if I post this in FI. Might think its off topic. Thanks again.
Re: Removing ASR traction control
There was a guy on here who removed his without having to replumb the brakes. I think his name is trax. Best I can remember, he swapped out his brake control module with one from a non tcs car and switched the throttle and cruise cables. Do a search on his name and you should find the info.
