Removing Parking Brake Cable on Rear Caliper? Need help
Need to remove the driver side rear caliper, I may just be an idiot but I cannot figure out how to remove the parking brake cable on it. I'm unsure of how to release tension on the cable. Parking brake is disabled and still held on the lever very tightly. Couldn't find any info anywhere, could use some help to say the least.
Re: Removing Parking Brake Cable on Rear Caliper? Need help
Passenger side can be pulled off easily, but for some weird reason tension is still plentiful on the driver side so I cannot pull the cable enough to slip it off the lever. Previous owner told me a shop worked on the parking brake, looks like the driver side cable is newer but I'm not sure how it would contribute to this problem.
Re: Removing Parking Brake Cable on Rear Caliper? Need help
Issue Fixed- Parking brake lever on the driver side caliper was malformed partially, made removal of the parking brake cable a very tedious process. Easiest way to grease the slider pins is to remove the caliper, then break free the top (easily accessible) slider pin and actually slip the two portions of the caliper apart.
