removed door panels- need help

removed door panels- need help

i removed the door panels and on both sides the lock bottom or whatever it is called thats underneath the door handle fell out. i can't figure out how it goes back on?

it just "clicks" into the rod that slides back and forth. Kinda hard to get it in all the way, but it goes, theres a tiny hole in the back of it that the sliding rod goes into.

so i can click it on that rod and then bolt the panel back into place correct?

No, the rod has to be pulled threw the opening. Then you can snap the plastic on.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE MESSING WITH THIS BAR. I got too rough and bent it, had to wait 3 days with my door panel off while I got a new one from the dealership. It was only 17$, but still a pain in the ***. It took 2 people for me to get it in, one had to hold it in place while I snapped everything in. Damn chevys!

I think I put mine back on after everything else was together. There are no tricks really, it just takes time and luck to get it all lines up and snapped back in.

those things are a pain in the ***, just take ur time and have patience and you shoul dhave no problems. just make sure it clicks in.
