radio trouble.. please help

hello, my car has been sitting in the garage for a few months now and i finally have time to work on it. first thing is the radio. i uninstalled the radio a while back and touched two wires together and saw fireworks. from that time on i have had no power to my radio, no interior lights, no remote keyless entry, and no headlamp chimes. i have changed literally every fuse in the fuse box inside the car. now i dont know if there is a relay in the engine compartment that needs to be changed or not, i was hoping someone could tell me this. also, i talked to a "car guy" and he says it is most likely a fusible link that is shorted. i have no clue what a fusible link is or looks like. i was hoping maybe someone in this message board could help me out with this problem. any help would be appreciated. thanks a lot.

You said you changed every fuse in the fusebox in the car. Did you check all the fuses under the hood?

Re: radio trouble.. please help

hello again. sorry for the late response. i have checked all the fuses and they seem okay. my radio gets power now, i fixed a loose connection but have yet to actually check it on my radio. i will do that soon. however, my courtesy lights and my keyless entry still do not work. i thought maybe i accidentally reset the remotes somehow and just needed to reprogram them so i tried that, but i got no response from the locks. does anyone have any ideas for me to try? my next step will be to trace wires. this may be a tedious process and if someone has a simpler solution for me that'd be great. thanks a lot
