Question Question for the High HP guys

I'm a noob here but I've been reading for quite a while. I've been looking into getting an LT1 f-body for quite some time now. I've tried to search but I haven't found any really modded ones with t-tops. We'll I've found one that I really like. It's a 1995 TA Painted '02 Vette Blue. LT1 - 6spd. However I'm a little reluctant about it because it has T-tops. I'm wanting to build the motor. I'm worried that will raising the HP will tweek the frame enough that it will cause the T-tops to not seal right. Also would SFC solve this problem?

Thanks,
Ryan

By the time you make enough HP to cause damage, you will need a roll bar..... and that will help solve the problem. With big HP, good sub-frame connectors are mandatory, IMHO. Once you have enough HP to run under 12.00, you will need a roll bar, and that will help strengthen the body as well. I'm making about 800flywheelHP, and the T-tops fit just fine. A friend of mine is pushing 1,325HP and running 8.6@160+ MPH in a 30th SS convertible, and he has no problems with body integrity. He does have a full-cage as well.

Thanks for both of the reply's. It's a big help. I don't feel bad buying t-tops now.

Injuneer - I've learned alot about these cars reading posts you have made in the past.

Thanks,
Ryan
