Question about headlight covers

I saw some pics of them and cant understand how the lights can shine through them?....or is that the bad part?...they cant?

So do you have to keep taking them on and off all the time whenever you need to use your lights?

Some light will show through them, but not much. Yes tou'll have to take them off when ever you have the lights on. Some states do not allow them except for off road, and some will let you leave them on as long as there is ample overhead light. Some people(myself included) will use the clear covers(headlites)and unless the cops are looking for something to pop you for will look the other way. Tail-lights are not allowed as they block the light comming from the stock lights, but you can get around that if you cut some kind of pattern in them to let light shine through,as I did. You can go here and see what I've done and I've have a judge sign them off,http://iroc-t.cz28.com
