It depends on the extent of the bolt-ons, but it can easily be a very low 13 second to a mid 12 second car.

definately need feedback on the bolt ons and type of tires. as with any car, driver ability too. is it auto or stick? some ls1's dipped to the high 12's right from the factory (rare, but does happen) an auto with 4.10's would need a good driver to launch that car without too much spin. and its always cool to have competitors over here. we have quite a few mustang owners on here with some bad a$$ cars.

are you stock? if so, as is, id have to say he will probably beat you unless hes a crappy driver. (not saying that because this is a camaro site)

if you have drag radials, intake, would be a help. n20 should call things even or more your advantage.

not being familiar with how those mods affect the mustang power plant...can you give us an honest hp estimate...perhaps a dyno number??

the camaro is probably 325rwhp give or take. and assuming traction...it will run very strong in the 1/4mile.

ive never dynoed it, but from similar set ups ive seen around those same numbers, 1/4 times differ from gear set up + driver, being that ive never brough it to the track either, i can only guess what i run in the quarter, soo basicly it should be a drivers race..unless i shoot a little go go juice, i rather see what the result is N/A

Not to be a downer, but I've ran NA DOHC 4.6's with similar mods to mine (at the time) which was catback and air lid and I beat them all by a minimum of 3 car lenghts. These were "from roll races".....at a track of course....

From what I've seen at dyno days an NA DOHC 4.6 (Mach 1) put down 280 whp with exhaust and intake work and the SOHC 4.6's with the same mods puts down ~240-250 whp. Add ~30 for a cam and 15 for the LT's and you're still probably short of the LS1 you're going to race.

For comparison on the same dyno and same day stock LS1's were in the 290-310 whp range. Bolt on LS1's were 310-350 range depending on the bolt ons and the car. 350 whp bolt on only isn't the norm though.

My advice, lighten your car as much as possible (experiment with how much fuel you run because an empty tank may not be best for traction off the line)and work on launching. With 4.10's in an M6 he'll have a hard time hooking up. Your hope is to beat him bad enough off the line that his HP can't make up the distance by the end of the track.

best thing to do is just go out and race him to see where you stand. you are already forced into the race anyway you say. you cant win them all, so if you lose, you lose, no big deal. anything can happen during a race tho, i got smoked by a weaken car before, and i have beaten a car that should have owned me because he missed a shift. good luck
